The Tamellini family has been cultivating vineyards for over 100 years, passing on their knowledge and passion from generation to generation.
In 1998, brothers Gaetano and Pio Francesco decided to take their family’s legacy to the next level by founding their own winery. They were determined to create something truly special, a unique Soave that would set them apart.
Since then, Gaetano has been responsible for managing the growth and production of the vineyards, while Pio concentrates on transforming the grapes into Tamellini wine. Gaetano and Pio’s goal became to produce a wine that honored the traditions of Soave, using the region’s iconic grape, Garganega.
All this, combined with state-of-the-art technology, is what has made and makes Tamellini a winery of unique quality for Soave wines.
Fresco, harmonioso e equilibrado.
The Garganega grape does not have a distinct aromaticity, but a small wealth of aromas, of which almonds and white flowers are the most noticeable.
It has a long vegetative life, so much so that it ripens in October; it has hard skin and is often a deep yellow color due to its prolonged ripening.
It doesn’t have a marked acidity but an exciting balance of extracts and sugars.
